getting lowers painted...great deal
i dropped off my b6 today to have the lowers painted.
i am paying 375 total.
for b5s the guy charges 275.
i gotta give a big thank you to stallion25 for giving me this guy's info.
for anyone looking to have their lowers painted professionally, the price is right.
i'll be getting the car back on friday or saturday. once i see that the work is good, i will put up some pix.
once i get the car back, i'll be willing to share the guy's info...don't wanna refer anyone until i get my car back, although i am sure it's gonna be solid work.

RE: getting lowers painted...great deal
yeah, honestly sometimes i feel like a douche not doing stuff myself.
anyway, for people looking to drop their cars off and get this done professionally, this might be the deal you're looking for.
the guy's in lodi, nj. great for people living on long island (like me - 45 minute drive) or new york, new jersey.

RE: getting lowers painted...great deal
well, something silly just happened...
i was looking on ebay and found an oem ultrasport rear valence and upper bumper, painted black, for 200 dollars shipped.
i have been wanting to do a full usp conversion to my car for a while, but the front and rear bumpers are around 2k from a dealership, and there's basically nowhere else to find usp bumpers anywhere.
needless to say, i bought this thing faster than the rs4 to 60.
definitely the best deal i have ever had on ebay...insane actually.
now, anyone want a brand new black rear bumper...upper and lower?

got the car back today...looks GREAT.
i highly recommend this guy if you're thinking about getting your lowers painted. he does really good work. his name is fernando. he charges 275 for the lowers of a b5, 375 for b6 lowers. pm me for his number.
its dark and raining outside right now, so i will post some pix up tomorrow.
now, i gotta get a spoiler depot spoiler, and some 18" usp wheels.
about the rear usp bumper i just bought...it turns out i might need to pay 850 dollars for a new rebar to fit it, so i might not be selling the freshly painted rear bumper like i initially thought. instead i might be reselling the usp bumper.
when i receive usp bumper i am gonna bring it to a shop and see if the guy can somehow fit the rear ultrasport bumper on with the stock rebar. if not, it'll be going up for sale.
pix tomorrow...
