GF getting Audi..help plz
It's not really paddle shifting.....seeing as how there are buttons.....paddles should be behind the steering wheel, right side up, left side down shift.....and I have driven many turbo'd cars, I found no turbo lag on the WRX STi or the WRX for that matter....and I've not experienced much turbo lag on any newer diesel truck i've driven....
She wanted to get a VW so i told her opt for the audi as its got more luxury/class..its definately more her car I just want to make sure she gets a good one...I have a 2002 M3 so im more then happy with my car! So ive seen one person say stay away from the CVT because of problems and another just cause you cant get AWD...the AWD doesnt really make a difference in TX as it almost never snows and anyone can drive in rain (or so id like to hope). The car comes with audi's 8 yr/unlim mile warranty, what is covered under this exactly..if it cover tranny id just have her go get the CVT she was looking at...that way we wouldnt have to worry about any problems and i can have fun with the 6spd [8D]
"6 computer defined ratios" are still "speeds" thats why they say 6 speed....
CVT's are good in theory, if they can hold the power they are much better for racing (no shifting , and basically you start off and hit a certain rpm , and you keep that rpm.. )
its like getting up to 6k rpms, and holding but never increasing the revs...
but for this, get the V6 Tiptronic, and call it a day

wouldnt the 1.8t with dp/chip/intake walk the v6 though...doesnt seem like the v6 is mod friendly so whats the point in getting it for being faster if the turbo can be made quicker for very little money
