Default GF's new 01 A4 1.8t quattro

Heres the 01 A4 my GF is picking up today.

Does anybody know what front bumper is on it. I've done some searching but haven't found it anywhere. Although I never look for body parts anyway, spend too much on performance parts. Do you guys think 14,900 was a good price? The car is basicly in showroom condition, only flaw I found on it was a small scratch above the keyhole on the drivers door. I have only owned DSMs for the last 5 years, before that I had a 1990 VW Corrado G60. I've always liked the quality of the german cars but are very expensive to mod and don't put out the most power. Wouldn't mind one for a DD but not really worth putting much money into trying to make a fast weekend/track car. I look forward to spending more time on here and learning about another car for a change, after going on the DSM forums everyday for the last five years its nice to change things up a bit. Not too much I don't know about the DSMs at this point. Future mods for the GFs car are a chip and diverter valve, don't know if it will go any farther than that. For the expensive of the turbo upgrades the gain of power doesn't really seem worth it to me. Thanks guys, I will post up some info on my car if any of you are interested in DSMs.

that bumper on that car is the same as mine it is the RSR uberhaus

Pics of mine https://www.audiforums.com/m_361573/tm.htm

more info on the bumper http://lltek.com/A4_B5_RSR.htm

it is a high quility bumper, i'm not sure that 14000 is a good price i found mine for 11,600 with 68000 miles on it and it had some mods on it when i bought it the condition wasn't show room but pretty dang close. (This is just my experance.) but i would buy it if i didn't have one

Nice car, good luck. I've been happy with mine. Be careful parking nose in, as that front bumper is low.
The timing belt should be changed before 90K mi.

Well its cool that the timing belt doesn't need to be replaced til 90k. DSMs are every 60k and I do it religously since its an interference enginge. Is the 1.8t an interference engine? The dealer said it isn't but I don't exactly trust a salesman on technical info like that. Although I must say this is the best experence I've ever had at a dealer, they have some incredible cars in immaculate condition. Such as an 87 RX-7 turbo II with 50k miles that I really couldn't find a flaw on it. Not to mention Porsches, Vipers and other exotics. My girlfriend is pretty excited about getting it, big upgrade from the escort zx-2 she was driving. I'm interested in seeing just how much improvement chipping will add. DSMs really don't have that option, I am running DSMlink which involves putting a new chip in the ecu but it isn't preprogramed. You must hook up a laptop through the obdII port which alows you to datalog many different peramiters, including a wideband o2 and my greddy boost gauge which is all displayed on a nice graph. Also compensate for larger injectors(as big as you want, like 1600cc and still runs like stock), adjust timing and airflow. As well as features such as antilag and adjustable stutterbox. Its really a cross between a stock ecu and standalone. So just popping a chip in and being done is a new concept to me. I really like to be involved in tuning the car, its seems as though it will just be simple bolt ons for the A4. Although I guess thats fine since its my GFs DD and she isn't willing to spend more in mods than what she paid for the car like I have done with my DSM. I'm just happy to start spending some time researching another car and starting to learn some new stuff. Thanks guys I look forward to spending more time on here and I'll try to shut up about the DSMs.

The 1.8t is an interference engine. Use some carriage returns,ENTER, to make your posts narrow
like mine.
