giac or apr
Hello all,
I am sure this question has been asked millions of times, but please spare me since I am a newbie. I have a A4 98 1.8T, everything stock. My car is very sluggish when it starts to run from a stop. After 35-40, it's running OK. I am not a speeding fan, but I'd like it to accelarate faster after a redlight
. Our famous dude Arif, a close friend of mine[8D], recommended to have it chipped. Now, my question is.. which chip do you think serves better for my purpose? Giac or Apr?? Thanks in advance.

Since you are a close friend of Arifs I wont be rude... The search function is real usefull at the top of the page.. But I have experienced both apr and giac-(which i have) and id recomend giac for more aggressive and then apr if you want more smooth power. Giac gives you lots of power down low and smooths out on top (rpms) and apr kind of spreads the power out evenly over the rpms. Giac puts you back in your seat more and probably feels faster but they are actually about equal as far as hp and tq go.
Are you the guy who i met at the garage and wanted your air bag or cel checked out???
