the mod bug has bitten badly!!!

would there be any bad side affects or problems if i ran k03 giac software on a k04 turbo until i had a chance
to upgrade to k04 software? or just wait and do both at the same time?

 

It will work, you just wont get full potential out of the turbo. If it was me id just wait it out and get the software. There are many people that do that and don't have any problems.

 

GIAC should have an upgrade program to help u out on the price and if u dont get the K04 program u wont use the full potential of the k04 turbo so u might as well kept the k03

i was sure it wouldnt operate at full potential without proper software.

i think it would be tough to have a k04 sitting around the garage while you save up some dough to upgrade software

ive heard other opinions on this actually..yes its not going to full benificial,but ive heard of 2 guys burning the turbos up on audizine bc they used k03 chips. now i might be mixin up some information in my head as to why the turbos blew but i think thats y it was..maybe someone will correct me if im wrong....

 

i ran my k04 for like for a a couple thousand miles with no problem, it felt faster than my chipped turbo before, but then again my k03 was blown. The upgrade to ko4 software is $200
