Give advice on a Cool Air Intake PLZ!!!

Ok so yesterday I got my 96' A4 2.8L FWD. I wanna put a cool air intake. I only found one that looks like it can be suitable for my car. Its K&N kit, I dunno if thats good and if the increase in HP and Torque will be noticable. PLz Give advice. I will be grateful. Thank you

First of all you bought the worst A4 to mod. 12v V6 (once they got to 98 they made the 30v 2.8....still slow) and FWD. Reliable car though. Don't get the intake unless you want a better, sporty sound...cause that is all it will do.

Really, I read at some other forums that after they installed the intake the cars RPMs got better and it felt alot smoother. Would you say that it's worth the 80 bucks or no?

cut the bottom of your air box. and drill some hole in your fender liner.... then use a droppin K&N= cooler air, and some noise.

The stock airbox IS a cool air intake. If you're talking about putting a cone filter on then you're more or less creating a hot air intake. I put a cone on only for the sound. Bought it on ebay for $19 and haven't had any issues.

Oh by the way it's a cold air intake.

the way i mentioned cost about 45$ and requires 20minuntes, of your time.

u may gain only 1-2 more hp to spend 200$ plus for a real intake. Is that worth the price.
