Give advice on a Cool Air Intake PLZ!!!

what i did was cut lower on the air box.

I didn't drill some many holes, and put the towards the top of the fender liner. think that will help+ the screen.

Is it me or is there a big hole between the air box and the fender. Wouldn't that suck the hot air from the engine in? When I do mine I'll try to leave that part alone so that the box presses perfectly against the fender.

you need to seal that gap with foam, and second theres like no way your gunna get water ing there unless you drive in to a river and then your gunna have bigger problems than a little bit of water, mine is entirely cut out down there and has no screen, and have had absolutly no problem with water and i was driving in 2 feet of snow all winter and even went through some huge puddles with no probs

Sounds good. How bout the MAF, do I need a new one because I remember reading somewhere that it can **** up ur car with a new Intake.

you will only **** the maf if you over oil the K&N

If you over oil the K&N (and from the factory, they ARE over oiled) you can clean the MAF with electronics cleaner.

i did that airbox mod as well, it sounds badass, after that i threw on a cone and ditched the airbox, then made my own little ghetto heatshield, it sounds about the same and maybe pulls a wee bit better,

AS a previos Owner of a 96 a4 i can tell you.... an intake will only show gains in 1st gear. and really not even that much
