Default Is this a good buy?

Hey folks, im a noob but I have loved audi's since i was a little kid.... I'm turning 18 about to purchase my very first a4 for 9 grand (cash) as you can tell Ive been saving :P. It's a 98 1.8t a4 quattro with 67K miles and its silver. one owner/clean title car but I'm buying it from a dealer... Everything drives/works fine. There ONLY things wrong are a few scratches on the bumpers which are expected but It doesnt really bother me I live in Vallejo Ca if anyone wants to help factor that into the price. IS THIS A GOOD BUY? Thanks so much.... Ray

That seems ok I got mine private party for 10,000 cash. It's a 99.5 1.8TQM with 67,000 miles one owner with all the goodies no body damage at all. Remember the 98 has the old school interior, headlights, taillights and no fogs

I went on a site called craigslist... and then i saw the audi i want and the guy said come to my house and check out the car here.... little did i know that he was a dealer when i arrived at his house to test drive it, the whole time i thought it was a private owner cuz i test drove it at his house i didnt know that he used the car to go from his dealership and back home.... oh what is the difference in your 99.5 interior compared to the 98 interior... do you have any pics of yours to compare? The timing belt has been done at 60k

I don't have any pics on my laptop but I will dig around the site and see if I can find some.

The difference between the two is huge IMO as for the lights they can be swapped out easily....

The clear stripe is 99.5 and up I think and the 98 is not clear and higher. I think they are both nice tho it's the headlights that are way different, but easily swapped.......
