I finally put my timing belt kit on, took about 5 1/2hrs. including set-up and clean-up. The biggest pain was the bumper and removeing the radiator hose but all in all was real easy. Car runs great but after about a 6 mile test drive the check engine light came on. [:@] Has this happened to anyone else? After work im going to get it scaned at autozone to see wtf is going on.

 

If I were you, I would not even move the car. Vag it, if you have a laptop.

 

Unfortunatly i dont have a VAG. You think i messed something up im a lil worried now! My timing marks never moved off the point.

 

There is nothing we can until you scan the code.

 

Maybe you forgot to reconnect an electrical connection??? WHen I did my Tbelt i forgot to reconncect the ac condensor wiring and my ac didnt work, but i didnt get a cel. I forget what else was disconnected that might cause a cel. CEL's are usually emission related though, so i dunno. Get scanned asap and let us know. As long as the cel isnt blinking you should be alright to drive, but id go easy.

 

P0011-Camshaft Position Actuator A - Bank 1 Timing Over-Advan. is the code that Advanced Auto got off the car.

 

Real quick is this refering to the thing next to the cam gear that has a wire harness going into it.

Ok im thinking my cell came on because i didn't disconect the battery and disconected the cam acuator. Sorry for the misspells cause im bubly.

 

Ok I disconnected the battery and the cell is gone. (for now at least) But now my windows dont automatically go up or down. What's the deal, how to fix it?
