Default A good deal?

Hi guys, I'm planing to give my 03 A4 3.0 automatic to my wife and buy a manual for me. I found a 02 manual 6sp 3.0 with 79k miles, winter pkg, bose, new timing belt it's in very good condition, my dilema is if get a car with high miles. he's selling to me for $9500.
Good deal or no?

Hi

All that l can say is for under $10,000 l would still take it to a mechanic because if a problem pop's up it's going to be costly. Forget about a good or bad deal the most important thing is that it isn't a sponge.

I would rather spend more and have no issues but with a car in that mileage area one never knows.

I am more in tune with verts then sedans but l know the prices at the wholesale level. But at the wholesale level if the car (Audi) is out of the existing orig warranty from Audi and no longer has the extended warranty (Audi) it will not qualify for the hi-line auctions.

Good Luck

What about the engine, that one with a 3.0 or a 1.8t last longer on high miles?

the 3.0, while less modable, is usually more reliable. and if theyre well taken care of they can last up to 3000k miles so the miles arent too bad
