Okk So i have a buddy who is selling his audi a4 because he blew the head gasket and bought a new car.
Its a Audit A4 as mentioned
110K Miles Clean Title
3-inch down pipe
exhaust system
Its a 1.8T
He wants to sell it to me for $3200... Is that fair? And how much would a head gasket cost to repair? I've been told all sorts of prices from $200 - $2000.. ANy help greatly appreciated.

 

that is insanely cheap. even if the gasket costed 2 grand, which i seriously doubt it would but i dunno the exact price, you would still be comin out on top. if you dont buy the car i will lol

jus make sure its only the head gasket that blew

 

Out of curiosity what is the year on the car? None the less, a way good deal.

 

give us more specifics on the car but **** the gasket is like $60 and if you can do it yourself thats a hell of a steal

 

Its a '98 ... I asked him about it more today and he told me he was driving home from work when he saw his engine temp go up so he pulled over and saw oil in the coolant and just called the tow truck and had it taken to the shop where they told him he blew the head gasket.
