Default good deal or no?

saw this car the other day, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...57248&rd=1
i know it needs a new clutch which is kind of a big thing, and i know there are some other cosmetic problems that i can probably take care of myself, but i was wondering if it was good car to look into to buying. i think if i could pick it up for low to mid 6's i would be happy but who knows. what do you guys think?

its funny that the owner calls it "low miles" with 74K... i no its an '01 but still. you have no idea what the reserve is so theres noway to say if its a good deal or not. i gaurantee he's not letting it go for 6's. but you never know i guess... keep an eye on it.

I love how he boasts about his 'warrenty', but at the bottom, he says 'technically, it is voided'

I'd say pass on this. There are plenty out there at a decent price, keep shopping. I think you'll have better luck on CL.

Maybe i skipped it but does it say if the timing belt water pump etc..... was done? It seems like a good deal if you can get it for like 5 shipped.

ya i asked him about the timing belt but hasnt gotten back to me yet. the car is located 3 hours away so it would be no big deal getting the car. there are still several days left, maybe if it doesnt sell we can privately do something. and what do you mean by CL?

I have purchased a lot of cars and what I am gathering from this statement

"If the car goes for over $9,500 I'll include the Dension IceLink and the Valentine V1 radar detector. The IceLink docks your iPod and allows you to control it through the Audi's stereo controls. The Valentine V1 is regarded as the best radar detector on the market. Both are already hardwired and together are worth over $600"

He probably wants atleast $8k for it.

Just my two cents on it.
