What part of Oregon. I lived in SW Portland and there was a guy that I really liked on SW Beaverton Hillsdale HWY, he drove a pimp BMW I think it was an M3, but it was the little 2 seater bubble car.. is that a z3, something like that.

It was just north of 217 going past the Home Depot. He charged 80 an hour so I bet he could do it for 5-600 with parts (depending on the parts) If you are a southern oregonian drive to portland. The dealer there ain't half bad either. If they can get you in (they are kind of whiny)

It ain't bad for doing it yourself. It is a dual overhead cam v6 pretty run of the mill. Last time I did timing was an old ford truck and I figured my Audi out with the Haynes manual. Just take your time. If you know how to do timing, it is easy. I posted about a month ago on how to do it with out the special tool, but you might want to get Audi's timing tool. Less worrying.

Did my research because I will need mines change as well but I got about 10k more to go.......I got quoted about 400 at steveimports.com in portland (they service german cars as well) also check german autoworks in hillsboro, one more thing go to goapr.com there is an apr dealership in hillsboro, you can buy your part and tell them to charge you for labor.........

Figure 400 for labor. It is about a 5 hour job. Parts are about 250 for the full kit, belt water pump, tensioner and idler.

Autohaus Bayern (man that took a lot to look up, found it on a bmw forum of all places.) He is kind of an up and coming business in portland, but it is sweet shop. High quality mechanics too. When I talked to him he was replacing a computer in an RS6
give him a try
