The question is now what amp should I get to push a 10' W7? The only amps I have been around are Soundstream and PPI. I think Soundstream has gone down hill since I last used them and PPI seems to still be going strong. At any rate I need a good true watt amp for the sub only so it must be 2 channel D class mono block.

If you have used PPI in the past, that is a damn good amp. If you are running a W7, why don't you look at a JL amp? Their amps are very good and would be nice to keep the whole system in the family. I used JL subs and amps for a long time and they never did me wrong. Not that there is anything wrong with them but I really don't like JBL products. No offense Rich...

Dual 3 ohm so the amp needs to be 1 ohm stable

get a NICE rockford amp, they bench test at more wattage than they are rated, if you get the right kind. Last time I checked, no other company has pulled this off..
