Default Got an Exhaust Question?

Hey fellas!
Quick question, since my funds are kind of low I wanted to buy stainless steel exhaust tips for my 99 2.8 a4 instead of purchasing the whole sport exhaust for $400+. I found some nice ones that are supposed to fit the a4 2.8L 96-01, however when I go outside and look at my two tail pipes (which are right next to each other), they look like their too close to even put tips on them. My question is do you think it will work or do any on you have exhaust tips on your 99 2.8 a4. I attached a picture so you can check them out…again thanks in advance.

Just save up you'll be happier in the long run plus you would also save some money by not buying those tips.

Well I have the S4 looking tips on my 01 A4. I ordered them directly from the Audi catalogue at the dealership for around 50 bucks. They took about 30 min to install. This is just a temporary fix until I can buy a full exhaust, but they look fairly good.

get one of the cheap ebay exhaust, they cost about the same as those. Jest had one on his old car and it sounded pretty good.

Hahah raggin' on this guy... I feel his pain though... my first major mod is gonna be the chip, not exhaust. Hence it will be a plan for down the road, but EVERY freakin time I walk out to my car and see the hideous black exhaust pipes it hurts. Tips do nothing but add to the appearance. As long as it is the proper size tips and not a coffee can, more power to ya. Of course... I can't wait to get myself the real deal.
