Whoever said you can run a K04 on K03 software and just not have maximum performance? The implication is that you would get a little more power, but just not maximize the benefit of the K04. Let me say that that ain't true!

I have the GIAC latest K03 software with cooler plugs and a 5 bar fpr, and the boost is erratic as anything. I'm spiking at over 25 psi (that's as high as my boost gauge goes) and the Boostvalve kit has no effect. Plus, the boost seems to hold at 5 psi then jump like crazy to 25+ psi. I'm really hoping that is all fixed when I get the GIAC K04 file on the car Monday.

Does this sound normal?

exhaust seems to be your biggest problem you are creating too much back pressure and that means lack of vent or too much if you fitted one of those daft 6" pipes lol

I dont think you should put in the fpr until you have the proper software. It would probably run better if you put the stock one back in until you get the right software. Your probably running a little rich at first, and then once the ecu sees that, it tries to lean out the mixture which is why your spiking so much and have non consistant performance maybe?? An exhaust will help a lot deffinately.

Default Problem solved! And the winner is...

It was in fact a pinched N75 line...the one from the compressor to the N75. That's why the overboost kit didn't work. I wasn't getting enough boost to open the wastegate.

It was still spikey and surgy with the N75H, so I put the stock N75C back in and things are smooth as butta! Now I peak around 20 psi (it'll go to 22 psi under the right conditions) and settle around 15 to 17 psi.

Once the car cools down and the fuel pressure settles, I'll stick the 4 bar fpr back in.

Still, can't wait for the upgraded K04 GIAC software on Monday.

Thanks for all the help and replies.
