Yeah, good buy, nice deal, welcome to the forums.

To bad ya had to go FWD, but oh well... probably cheapened the price.

yea i really have no need for quattro, we havnt had snow in over 3 years plus the car wont be raced, and no BOV for me, ive been reading lol, got some questions though

1. what does the service insv light mean?
2. when slowing from >10mph to 0mph the brakes pulsate very bad, feels like an ABS sensor
3. when truning right sometime it clicks, CV halfshaft maybe?
4. when i drive it for more than 10 miles the ABS light comes on and the pulsating stops, but as soon as i turn it off and back on the light goes off and the pulsating comes back. thats what meakes me believe that the ABS sensor/wheel hubs are bad.

thanks guys

1. Service light probably needs to be reset. It reads mileage for oil changes etc, and has to be manually re-set.
2. Could be warped rotors.
3. Sounds like CV joint
4. Never mind about 2. Sounds like ABS sensor or ABS control module. Check for codes with a vagcom. Don't drive far with bad brakes.

is the vacom somthing i have to take to the dealer to get checked, or can any real (not the kind you buy at autozone) OBD2 scanner scan the codes? the brakes arnt bad as long as im going faster, but when im in a parking lot or somthing and slow down they "click"

also i put an alpine CD player in and now the rear speakers arnt working?? i used a scoche wiring harness to wire into the factory harness. u had 2 connectors left over. im about to put a 4 channel amp in and hard wire everything, but im still wondering why they arn't working.any advice??
