alright bro this is how ya do it. I did this with several cars cause I used to be a porter/detailer at a Audi/ Porsche dealer (great job)! First you usea hair dryer of some sort and hold it up to the emblem for bout 5 minutes, rotating at different angles of badge. MAKE SURE you dont hold it too close to burn or bubble the paint, thats a no brainer. In the summer it can not get this hot ever unless you live in hell! After this i took a thin razor blade and VERY VERY carefully cut around the edges of badge to get loose. Heated up badge alittle more to make sure glue was loose enough and took badge off holding from both ends so it does not scratch paint. Took most of extra glue off of car and then buffed and waxed areas to make it look nice.

Nice car. I have the votex body kit, too. Since you're new to the A4 and don't have a user's manual, here's a few things you can use to start off.

First, spend a week or so just stopping in to read the posts. You'll pick up a lot of info and the lingo, then you'll know what to search for the next time you have a question. Also, there are plenty of DIYs out there. Try looking in our DIY as well as those found here:

http://www.a4mods.com/index.php
http://www.audizine.com/forum/forumd...&forumid=9
http://www.audiworld.com/ (resources-->tech articles)

There's lots of info out there and odds are your questinos has already been asked so always research first. GL!

First, you have halogen lights, which are standard lights. Most cars on the road have them and they make a kind of yellowish light. You'll see the number used to measure the color so to speak is "K". Here's a chart I pulled off of Sylvania

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/rodi/...colorchart.gif

HIDs or xenons are a different kind of technology. They use a completely different setup than halogens. These are where the "colored" lights began. The project more light than standard halogens but at a different wavelength, hence the bluish light you see. There are slight differences in OEM setups so you may see an Audi looking slightly different than an Infinity.

Yes, it is possible to buy a kit and turn your standard halogens into HIDs (a couple hundred+ $). Also, it is possible to create that colored effect with standard halogens but the result isn't the same - the brightness isn't there. Also, some of the bulbs are illegal for street use.

I just swapped out my standard OEM bulbs for some Silverstars, which some say is the closest to the HIDs you can get for a standard halogen. I'm sure others will protest but there are plenty of options.

Finally, both the halogens and the HIDs can be projectors. That is a headlight assembly design. When you look at your headlights, the lowbeams have that lense on the front... like a projector... get it?

PS: I'm not going to tell you what bulb sizes you need. I know that has been covered here many times over. You can also visit Sylvania's website and use their replacement guide.
