i finally got my crap together and got the stage 3 maf and velocity stack from mance, it seems to pull a bit harder without having to gas it much and its a bit louder, cant wait to finish up the intake tract, next im going after the throttle body and piping

 

Did you reset the ecu after installing it? Now the big question from me: Was it worth the cost?

 

Shoulda just went with twin turbonators for 1/8th of the cost. jk tell me more about this mod... Whats the hp gain supposed to be??

 

All this is is a bored out MAF with an oring ot get the ar sample right and a VS to lessen the air turbulence.

 

The guy i bought it from doesnt really advertise it for what power it gains, just as a very well machined version of the stock MAF, It definately seems to have a bit more oomph and its a bit louder. He says that having one or just a few of the mods to the intake tract doesnt do anywhere near as much as doing all of it. I think when im done it will start with an lltek intake with an akimoto filer on it going to the s3 maf, then to some silicone hosing and hopefully ill be able to remove tyhe plenum and get his bored throttle body. I think that if its not quite worth it now, it will be once i have the complete intake tract done. it also feels good to throw stuff on the mods list
