Default gt2871R eliminator installation

Hello, i am thinking about ordering the gt2871R eliminator turbo kit for my 1997 1.8t quattro. I was wondering if you guys could please give me an estimate on about how much it will cost me to have it installed at a local euro tuner shop?

yea. you still have to pull the intake mani to get to the oil filter housing. but i bet it could be done in 4-5 hours. my complete install took less than 8 hours and i had a mani and turboback exhaust. 3 hours is doable if you have done a few installs. these cars are way too easy to work on

Yea, okay.

If you have to remove the old turbo and then install it your looking at a days work. Gotta remember that this turbo is the same as the one with an aftermarket mani that relocates the turbo. The turbo barely fits in, its like a 1/2" away from the frame. The directions are poor and without relocating the turbo and being twice as big as a k03 working space is limited by your hands. The 3" inlet pipe, haha good luck, mine barely fits in. The oil return line, haha its a tight fit aswell. I have the GTRS and have insatalled it myself. This is no walk in the park and you dont have to pull the intake mani, its an elim, just the fuel rail. Ough and then try to fit the pcv valve in and connect it to the inlet pipe.

I don't about a 3hr 2871 install. Im sure others can do it faster then some. I know the apr kit take longer to install. The guys at apr told me it takes them 6 to 8hr for a stage 3 install.
