Whenever I turn off my car I hear a gurgling sound from under the hood, lastely I also noticed it when revving from neutral. The car has been parked for couples months (but I have been starting it regularly).
Car details: 1998.5 2.8 manual transmission
ANY help is appreciated!
EDIT************ Turns out the noise is NOT from under the hood, but from the REAR of the vehicle... I would have sworn it was from under the hood from my small enclosed parking space but paying more attention it is from the rear.. So what do you guys think? Thanks

Uh ok man, don't put 50,000 emoticons in your own post 20 minutes after posting... thats really going to discourage people from reading.

sounds like coolant boiling in the radiator, definately check the thremostat.
Check engine light IS on, but I never got it turned off after I changed the oil...
Car is NOT overheating as far as I know...
I only start the car to warm up, let car temp hit 90 and then turn it off... then I hear gurgling which is VERY audible in my enclosed parking spcace.
my bad for the emoticons [&o]
