gurgling sound when doing boost leak test
well a few weeks ago I did a DIY boost leak test (a4mods.com). I had a gurgling sounds coming from inside the engine. is that normal? was I just pushing air into the crankcase via the crankcase breather?
one more question - If I wanted to redo all the vac lines in the engine, how many feet would you guesstimate I would need.

You obviously didnt plug the throtle body/throtle body boot. Youre supposed to or else the test is pointless.

that would be ok to
Well I was just PM'ing with X1rider since he designed the boost leak test. and this was his responce for people that search and find this thread
and I did do what 1P8T had suggested of plugging the TBB but it didn't make a difference.
Hi, I get the exact same thing when I do my boost leak tests, with the crank vent plugged up. As far as I know, it's normal, it's just some of the pressurized air making it's way past the piston rings, down to the oil pan. I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that it was exactly what was happening.
