Default Boost leak test

Due to my car only boosting 1-2psi at WOT but holding an OK vacuum of ~20, I have decided that I need to do a boost leak test to see if there are any things like broken check valves causing my car to be doing this (BTW, this is not limp mode). This is the DIY I am following: http://audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104080 . Now my question is about where I plug this thing on to- do I simply take off my cone filter/MAF and put it on that pipe? Should I remove the N75 or anything? Thank you.

Ok, I tried this method anyways and it worked, sorta... I got the boost to 1.5-2psi and found something that was dumping MAJOR air.. These 'things' (check valves maybe?) are almost fully behind the motor.. I tried to get a pic but IDK if it will help: http://img524.imageshack.us/my.php?i...2081846ir1.jpg
Anyone with any advice?

take the broken parts off and bring them to the dealer parts dept, or drive there and have one of the parts guys come out and you point to that thing (I can't tell what it is from your picture with your engine wiring in the way) and he'll sell you what you need.
