Hard Choice A4 or Evo VIII?
 

Right now I am driving a 1998 A4 2.8 5 spd. It is my dads car, but mine while im in college. When I graduate I can either buy it from him, or just give it back. The thing is, one of my friends just got a 06 EVO MR. I went for a ride in it, and by the end I was on the phone with my dad asking him if I could trade in the A4 and get an 03 EVO VIII as soon as I find a job. He said thats fine, but the thing is, I will have to be making payments to him for the A4 (around 7500) and on the EVO at the same time. So if you were in my position, what would you do? Get the EVO and have a nice, fast car stock and go from there, or just save the money for the payments I would be making on it, and get a PES Supercharger, exhaust, etc... and just build a nice 2.8? Im sort of leaning towards the EVO, becasue that highway blast was like nothing else I have ever experienced. Thanks for your time.

I'm a fan of the Lancer Evos, but one that new will be about three times as much as the A4. Since your dad is giving you a good deal on it, you might as well buy it until you can save the $20,000+.

why would you buy the A4 off him just to trade it in you will end up paying more this way for a 98 a dealer won't even give you 7500 for the A4 just give the A4 back and buy the EVO

after messing with an EVO VIII on the freeway, i'd say evo. haha never driven one. but damn

evo for the long run. mitsubishi maintenence is good. plus its a nicer car then the 98 a4....i know cause i hate mine.

Gor for it. You may not have the chance later on when you have mortgage payment, kids, etc. to worry about.

Ive driven the Evo VIII and XI, they r an amazing car. Fast! Id get the Evo, but id try gettin an S4 first

ugh... Evo the audi is a 2.8 you'll be unhappy down the road.

Evo unless your doing lots of daily miles when you may feel like youve been shaken around in a tin can for hours.
