Default Hard CLUNK when I let off the gas?

Well my car has always occasionally done this but now that I have got chipped it seems to happen more often and it is more pronounce. Anyway basically sometimes when I let off the gas the car will jolt and make kind of a clunk noise. What on earth could that be?? Is there ANY possibility that it is just my stock DV going bad from the extra boost? I kinda doubt it... but if you guys can help me narrow it down and figure it out then I can attack it! Thanks!

your clutch may be going. it could be ur engine getting a bit away from the clutch becuase its almsot gone, adn when u let off the engine jumps down to its speed.

i got a new clutch tho and if i work it right, i can still get that noise, which shouldnt be right because the clutch is rated for 300hp adn i only ahve like 220 ish

It may be a big vac leak...when my hose for my boost guage came off the T, whenever I let of the gas there would be a very noticeable bump/kick feeling...when I put the hose back on it was gone, check for vac leaks...do you have a boost guage?

It could be a bad motor/tranny mount causing the engine or transmission to rock excessively and therefore making contact with anotherpiece which causes the unwanted clunking noise. It's hard to say without being there and this is just a guess but try rocking the motor by hand.

HEY!!! Ok I think I might be starting to get down to something! I have another question for you... When I am in TIP mode and I keep in second gear and get on the accelerator at about 2K rpm at about 3K rpm the gear "hesitates" a little bit and then again around 4-5k. If I have a vac leak it could cause a symptom like this too couldn't it?

I am just really scared that my tranny is going but this all might be leading to a vac leak! I REALLY hope so!

By the way , I am getting my boost gauge in the mail like in a couple days that can help me out too I am sure.

yeah mine did the same, i ordered the poly snub mount from neuspeed for $29.99 and it is a whole new car if you dont believe me try it. it took 15 minutes to install and love it!! everyone who drives it is amazed at how well it responds now. the only downfall is at idle you will get engine vibration in the seat of your pants...small price to pay though.

p.s.

hot chick dude!

my guess is mount other than snub (engine or tranny.) maybe even rear diff.

the 2-3 shift hesitate is normal, it has something to do with the torque converter lock up
