Hard or impossible starting A4 1.8T
First I'll start by introducing myself and my car. The car is a 2003 Quattro A4 with 1.8T. Lately it has been very hard to start and will run for a few seconds...then die with zero throttle response at the pedal. It has zero codes and weather is not a factor as it did this in the winter as well. Any ideas where to start or can anyone recommend a good service tech in the Philly/S.Jersey area? Thanks in advance. BTW..... you really don't want to know about me
I'm ruling out the fuel pump because the car will run and drive once started...it just getting the damn thing started that's the major problem. Thanks for the responses though...any others?

I assume your car isn't under warranty.
Did you check for codes. There may be some even if the CEL isn't lit. I would find it strange that you should have so much trouble and there would not be any codes stored.
