Hey guys I have a problem with my 2001 A4 2.0.

The prices just came up for my repairs.

Coolent Leak $520
Tire Ends are loose-$400
Torsin Dip leaks fluid $500 (not sure if I spelled that right)

I dont know what to do?

Find a new mechanic ASAP
You are getting raped big time. Is the dealer quoting you these prices? I wasnt aware 01's came with a 2.0 engine- even in other countries...?

Find an independant (notdealer) mechanic who is familiar with vw/audi, or learnhow toDIY.If you plan on keeping this car, it will be a nighmare to maintain financially if you dont do some things yourself.

RAPED is a under statement....All that should be done, for a fraction of that price...Find someone honest to work on the car.

The mechanic is a clown. Coolant leak???? You MAY be able to fix that yourself.
Camshaft sensor? Same thing. Might be a job you can do. As for the rest of it.. Find someone else to do the work. He's trying to rape you.

I could have sworn the Torsen diff was inside the transmission. Like, right near the rear output... I'm not sure if they can tell the difference between a tranny and diff leak.

It was a facetious remark.
