Default HAVING SOME TROUBLE INSTALLING TIE ROD.

Hey I tried installing a new tie rod but I can’t get the lock nut off. (the thing on the threads of the tie rod.) I have PB blaster’d the heck out of the thing and still wont budge. Does anybody have any advice for me who has been or know someone who has been in this situation before?

isn't it the opposite on that nut though? i mean you put the tie rod into the hole and then righty tighty. but for the nut, you have to righty tighty it so it comes away from the rack. do you know what i mean?

you won't/shouldn't hit the inner tierod with the flame at all heating up the nut that locks the outer tie rod in place. that nut should only be hand tight. putone wrench on the outer tie rod and the other on that nut and squeeze the wrenches together. with pb blast you should have 0 problems.

yeah, i was thinking about that but if you look at that nut from head on, then righty tighty would be to tighten it away from you. So wouldn't that mean that it would be lefty loosy if you wanted the nut to come to you?
