Head light washers
Hey, for those of you that have followed my.... little...saga... Here is an update on the washer nozzles.
It is possible to replace the passenger side one without removing the bumper. It requires a 10mm extended socket, about a 4" extension, 2 hose clamps, a phillips head and a flat blade screw driver and pretty small hands. I had everything but the small hands. There are two bolts that mount the nozzle from the bottom. To get to them, you have to pop out the plastic part of the bottom grill assembly next to the fog lamp with a flat blade screw driver. There is a slot in this piece that when GENTLY pried upon, will relase that piece from the rest of the bumper. Then take out the fog light assembly by removing the the phillips head screws. After you remove the fog light assembly (I just let it hang by the wires) you can get the socket and extension up to the bumper where the mounting bolts are located. Once you remove them the only thing holding the old nozzle in is that wonderful single use hose crimp. Cut that off without damaging the hose. Put the new nozzlle and hose clamp on and do the whole thing in reverse. Now, the drivers side isn't so easy. The problem on this side is that there is a rubber cowl that directs air back to the intercooler. You can push pull and shouve that cowl out of the way to get the inside bolt off, but not so easy for the outside one. I ended up taking the bumper off because I had so little skin left on my hands that it seemed about time to do that. Once the bumper is off, and that cowl is moved out of the way, the second bolt is easy. Cowl back in place, bumper back on, pop the caps on, time for a beer. Not that you would really need to do this, unless your bumper is mysteriously pulled off by the side of the garage, but hey if you ever have to...

HAHA, ended up havin to take the F-ing thing off anyway huh Doose. Well, lets hope that's the last of your troubles for awhile. The main thing is we learned something from this didn't we Doose? In stead of me hogging your glory, I'll let you tell everyone what we learned through your little bumper incident.

You are correct sir. Hahaha, the car is back up to normal now, so I'm happy. But what a pain in my ***. Learned a buch of stuff aolong the way, so hey, at least I've got that. Right?
hehe, ya Doose. You probably learned a **** load about your car (and I'm raging with envy about that)..too bad it had to cost you a damn arm and a leg...and a few fingures, toes, an ear, an eye ball, and your left ********...but hey! It's all good now!
Now that you've fixed your headlight washers...time for you to get an RS4 body kit (hehe, no holes for the washer tabs).

Hey Dave, hit me up a PM if you'd like me to throw something together for ya.

IMO every body wants the RS4 kit. and i see the RS4 decals on regular A4's it seems kinda ricey to me. I still think it looks better than the original A4 front bumper. I Had my black plastic undertrim painted to match the rest of the car, and it looked really good. athen i got a s4 bumper.
Yeah T, I sure did learn a lot. First on the list is, park it outside the garage if anyone else is going to drive it! I should have priced out the RS-4 bumper too, but I didn't think about that at the time. I think a new A4 bumper was $360.00. That's the cover only. How much are the RS-4 bumpers?
