HID's were only an option on the 00-01 model years. Unless they are aftermarket, they are not HID, and you would not be saying that they are not bright. Light yellowish/white color= halogen, bluish white=HID/xenon

Do your lights need time to "warm up" when you turn them on? It's a second or 2 where they are dim and slowly get brighter? Or do they just go on instantly?

If they go on instantly, then you have regular halogen lights, if they take time to warm up then you have xenon HID's

The other way to tell is pull one of the bulbs out, if it has 2 prongs on the back of the bulb then you don't have xenons just regular halogen lights.

If you don't have xenons, you can get some hyperwhite bulbs or similar and it should inprove the light output. Also make sure your headlights are clean, you'd be surprised how much light dirt can rob from you.

Sounds like someone replaced the bulb with one of the "xenon like" bulbs. They have a blue tint to them and have cruddy light output generally.

If you can post a pic of the headlights on, that would help a lot.

Thanks I got tired of being PM'ed me about my "oettinger wheels not being real" "because the RZ's should be 5 spoke not RS4 style" or "where can I get a set of Oettingers like yours, I like them better than the 18 RS4's" *mumbles*
