headlight needs adjustment after lowered?
Thanks guys. Since the headlights and auto-leveling works fine so far without any problems and I don't feel anything wrong with it, I am going to leave the way it is.
If it ain't borken, don't fix it.

The 5051 is just a scan tool, and the adapater 6017 is just there to comunicate with modules on a different data bus. If you have a later version of vag-com it will comunicate on that bus without an adapter, as the adapter is built into the cable. Check for faults in the headlight adjustment module. There is a tech bullitin for a certain fault that will intermitantly turn on the headlamp warning. The fix is a reflash of the control module. If there are no faults a reflash will also take care of the problem.
The dealer told me there is no fault generated from headlights auto-leveling control module. However, they said since the car is lowered, it would be good to adjust the headlights so it could adapt the vehicle.
I think the dealer was just BSing me but not sure.

Its a good idea to adjust the headlights when the vehicle height is change. They are self adjusting but the baseline needs to be leared so they know where to adjust from.
oh jeez that vag seems too complicated for me.my b5 s4 has not been lowered but I feel as though the lights could use some height adjustments, they seem to be aimed too low. The length of my beam is significantly shorter than many other xenon beams. I assume I am going to have to go down the complicated road? No simple screwdriver method for me...? (insert sad face)
Its really not that hard if you have a vagcom that is capable of k wire diagnoisis. You just go to 55 headlight verticle control, and go to basic setting 1. Then adjust the headlights where they need to be. Go to basic setting 2 and the position is learned.
