Default Headlight Question

Hey guys, i just got my 1998 2.8 quattro , and i was thinking of putting new headlights on it, since the stock headlights are just too ugly to look at anymore. I saw these on ebay, and i was wondering if they were any good, if any modifications to the car needed to be made, as in shaving fenders etc. and also if i need an HID kit, or does this come with it already built in? heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-...spagenameZWDVW

I would say that it doesnt come with headlights..? Email the guy and ask him. Because HID's cost about 100 bucks.. Also ask him if the bulbs would just fit right in or do you have to make a special brackets for HID's?

If they are built for 95-98 (no such thing as a 95 a4, at least in the US, but anyways) then they take an H7 bulb. If you get HIDs (which these clearly dont come with) then youd just have to order the H7 size with your HID kit. Youll probably have to shave the inside part of the fender a little. They look decent, but wtf is that small strip on the top of the lense all about?

You will have to custom fit them.

I am not sure if the headlights you referred to on ebay are the the good ones. But dont compromise on money on headlights as you would expect them to last long without loosing the quality. Try and get the OEM parts and you can fit the HID's by yourself. I bought the Valeo HID kit (stock xenons have valeo too).

I would not waste money on those bro. Saveyour moneyand get some valeo's on the classifieds or some ecodes from esctuning. then HID them and you'll be happy. The headlights you have posted will leak and have about 3 inches of water in them in about 3 weeks an di would bet money that HIDs would melt them
