ORIGINAL: avant80@2.6

we cant alway have what we want im 7ft2" so im an odd ball
No way! 7'2'???

Anyway, ExpLIcIT - I do the same thing, our pedals make it somewhat difficult for heel-toe but its very easy for...side*of*foot-toe downshifting.

Would something get messed up by just bending the pedal up an inch or two? I'm broke so Im just looking for a quick fix till i take care of everything else I need to replace. (rotors, tires, and tb-but all i need is to order the g12 to do that)

I have been driving stick since high school, and now i'm a college graduate. I dont think that this is a noob question, but every time i downshifted, it was to use the engine to slow the car. Why would I want to "heel toe" shift if i am not slowing the car. Seems like it would be added wear and tear on the brakes as compared to using the engine to slow the car.

It helps a lot in racing situations going into corners quickly, when you need to slow down, and be in a lower gear coming out of the corner, but dont want to throw off the balance of the car. The main point of the technique is to keep balance, without transferring weight back and forth from brake to gas etc.

I guess it means more wear on the brakes but nothing significant enough to use as a reason not to do it. People do it day in and day out with no problems.

ATM I have a 92 civic, so i'm unfamiliar with this racing thing you speak of . But I guess that does make sense. I would just need some more coordination.
