Default Heater Core Flow

My heater isnt working and I thought it was air in the system, but when I was bleeding the hose accidentally fell all the way off and their was no coolant even pumping through it. I found out it only pumps when the RPM's are up higher. This is the same thing with the heat while driving it. If I am not above 3000 rpms then their is no heat. Anyone know why this is?

heater core is plugged up perhaps? I'd disconnect both sides and flush it out with a garden hose.

Ill try that, but how would that cause the water from not flowing into it?

Which line fell off, the engine return line or the line going to the heater core?

The Line going to the heater core. I am going to backflush it today hopefully, if I get off school in time. Than we will see whats going on. Its still wierd that it is not flowing all the time, but it could just be the air.

Ok. I backflushed and attempted to bleed again. Once again Its impossible to get all the air out. I must be doing something wrong. So when the car is running and hot, I elevate the resevoir and pull back the hose with the hole in it going to the heater core. Do I just leave it off until all the air runs out becuase when I just leave it off nothing comes out until I take it to high rpms then coolant shoots out everywhere. Any ideas?

Have you tried taking the car around the blocks a few times? Seems like you are bleeding it right to me.

I didnt take it around the block, but I did keep it reved to 4000 rpms for about a minute. I am about to throw in the towel. The resevoir cap should be on right?
