Default HELP!!!

ok, so heres some background info

i was driving on the highway going about 85 last week and all of a sudden i feel a bump (kinda like dumping the clutch without letting it out smoothly when shifting), the EPC light comes on and i lose all power... i mean its like i took my foot off the gas even though i'm flooring it. i pull over let it sit, then restart the car and its fine. i thought it went into limp mode and kinda passed it off as such

i just drove back from campus, and i'm doing 35-40 MAX and same kinda bump, EPC light comes on and no power. i look at my boost gauge and i'm in vacuum like i was coasting, and i had to pull over to restart the car

this is twice in a weekish and i'm getting scared, so imma try and get the codes scanned tomorrow by finding an autozone

any ideas as what this could be, and whether or not its a big fix?

The EPC light is for your electronic throttle controls. Why it is doing that I'm not sure. Loose connection somewhere? Check under the gas pedal. Have the engine checked for codes as there has to be something stored. Your vacuum gauge shows vacuum because you are coasting.

Description of your car and any engine mods or electrical mods would be helfpul.

Also, I'd report this to the national highway traffic safety website as this is a real safety issue.
