Default HELP!

Ok...my remote has died and needs to be reprogrammed. However, I only have the one switchlade key. I know that two keys are required and one can be a valet key. I remember reading some searched posts that my local audi dealer should be able to cut me a valet key or be able to cut a key if I bring one in (ebay)...but when I called them, they said that they cannot cut the keys and would have to be ordered from Germany all for just $268...Does anybody know of any other options? What about any other Audi Dealers? I'm located in Lexington, KY and wouldn't mind driving a little bit. Also, did I hear correctly that I could also reprogram my remote using a VAGCOM? THanks for your all's help in advance...oh and btw...it's a 2000 A4 2.8 Q

Default RE: HELP!

thanks avant80@2.6...so...if I replaced my batteries, i should have to do a full reprogram correct? I should just have to
depress lock or unlock
manually lock or unlock driver door w/in 30 sec

I did try the above correctly I think...so I would just press either unlock or lock on my remote, then stick the key in the driver door lock and either unlock or lock it and it should then work?
