Default HELP, anyone have any ideas???????????????

On the high end of the car, when I am really pushing my car, it seems to lunge forward a little and then stop and then lunge a little again and stop (it doesn't actually stop but seems to resist for a split second and not completely accelerate straight through), this is when the car is over 4000 rpms and usually over 60mph.

This all pretty much started after I got the car chipped. Anyone heard of this or had this problem???

I appreciate any help given.............

Not sure, but I'm jealous. I'll trade you my 2000 which doesn't do this for your 2007

Sounds normal to me, just one of the ways a turbo car drives. When you floor it the car will hesitate until the turbo spools up, then it will go to about 17-20 psi for a second or two (and that is when you feel the hardest pull), and then it will go back down to about 11-12psi and hold until redline. When the boost goes down it feels like the car is stopping but it is actually just the loss of those 5-7 psi. If you get a turbo gauge you can watch the process. Hopefully I am making sense. Someone else might be able to explain it better.

A boost gauge would help you get a better look at the situation. Could be normal, I dont know.. Ive never been in a chipped 2.0t.

check some of the hoses. after chipping my 02 i blew a hoes link to the boost, and basically you could hear the turbo working but it seemed that the power was dropping. almost felt like to me the engine was turning the turbo on and off, obivously creating a big hp difference. i have a pic of the hose i blew on my digicam ill upload it tomorrow so you can see which one it is. it you have time look around the driver side of the engine compartment there are about three different size hoses together the fatter diameter one was the one i blew.

Yes I understand what you are talking about when you talk about the turbo spoiling up.

There is other times, that it seeemed that I went into limp mode and another occassion tonight when it seemed like i had no power to move the car at all but that went away quickly and it was just for about 5~10secs.

Maybe a CAI would help with this issue????

Could it be a bad Diverter valve???

Youve only been chipped for a couple weeks right? Your ECU still may be adapting to the APR flash. Its normal to go into limp when the ecu adapts. Doesnt happen to everyone, but if it does-it wouldnt be considered abnormal unless its still doing it after a month or so.
