Default help on Brakes.

today, after i replaced one bearing and one caliper in a shop, the ABS and brake light came on. i checked the brake fluid level and fuses and found nothing wrong. if i put the ignition on, all lights come on and then ABS goes off. it remains off until i start the engine and drive one minute or so. the mechanic must have messsed something up.
i am sure there are many people on this board that have done a variety of brake jobs. have this ever happened to anyone? i will go back to the shop. can anyone give a clue?
my baby is 97 2.8 MQ
thanks in advance.

follow up:

went back to the shop this afternoon. the mechanics took off the front left wheel and unplugged the speed sensor. it got some grease on the end. after cleaning it up, we found the end which supposed to be flat and smooth got scratched in the middle. he inspected the tone ring tooth by tooth by turning the brake rotor. it seemed ok. he told me the speed sensor have been plugged in too much therefore it hit the tone ring while the car was moving. he measured the depth of the slot and the length of speed sensor then put it back. then we test drove my car for a while, the ABS stayed off.
so it could either the sensor got dirty or the space between the sensor and tone ring got changed and started hitting each other when the bearing was getting replaced.

I was wondering if it was a sensor issue.

Thanks for posting the results. Sometimes guys get things fixed, but don't post back to say what the problem and solution were.
