Default Help with car cutting out!

I have been fighting with this car for weeks now and I am almost ready to give up! I was getting a throttle body code so after cleaning it with no success I bought a new one. It defiently does better now and got rid of the code but still isn't right. It will idle with no prblems and rev ok but when held at higher rpms or driving it keeps cutting in and out. Do I need to reset some codes or what else could be wrong? Please Help!!!

What do you mean "Cutting in and out"?

Have you run a vagcom and checked for codes. MAF, fuel, etc?

When I run vag com it doesn't show any more codes now that the throttle body was replaced. As far as cutting in and out, it feels like someone keeps turning the key on and off. Is there anything with vag com that needs to be reset when the new throttle body was installed?

Yep, I'd suspect plugs and wires on this one too.

Did you do the throttle body alignment when you installed the new one? Key in accessory position for 3 minutes, before you started it? If not disconnect your battery for like half an hour... then reconnect it, and do the throttle body alignment... its a long shot, but maybe.

It feels like and ignition thing. If I hold it at 2000rpm it will cut out until it drops to 1000 and will then go back to 2000 and so on....

Nope I never did the alignment but I will try that. Just diconnect the battery for about 30 minutes then turn the key on for 3 minutes then start?

Make sure you have the radio code before you disconnect your battery, or you will be back with another question tomorrow.
