RE: Help with car cutting out!

Recheck the connections, clear all codes and run a throttle bod adaptation either with the VAGcom or manually. TBA wont be run if there is a code stored so clear them first.

RE: Help with car cutting out!

I m kinda had tha same problem if its cutting off when stepping on it hard....i have tha same 97 tm (quattro)...CHECK YOUR line that connects tha waste gate to the DV... its like fat and sends the boost in so it could be diverted bake into intake....by the way did u get a exhaust done recently? ...My cutoff came a week after my 3' turbo back exhaust was put in...guess the LiL turbo couldnt breath enough so the boost pressure line going to the D/V stick valve poped.they computer was showing i had boost problems leaks or something.....by the way i replaced it with some old turbodesiel parts from the mercedes really cheap and easly..LoL.....The cut off still happens but barley and its only if you really gun it and ur boost spikes....But if that doesnt work it also might be a Cam shaft Sensor ( this is about the Idle problem)....As long as ur throttle body those things are a bitch and it might be that......

CHECK WITH AUDI BECAUSE THEY JUST RECALLED A SAFTEY IGNOTION SWITCH......they should have sent you the Letter!

GOOD LUCK

after playing around in vag com I found that it is not getting any reading for the throttle position it only show 0 degrees. What could cause that? The new throttle body came with a new sensor so I'm guessing that isn't the problem. If I unplug it vag com shows it at 45 degrees.
