Default help with decision

Cant make up my mind. I am going to get a new car soon. I want New this time. I am torn between the Nissan Altima SER and the Audi A4 quattro. Give me reasons why I sould pick either one. Please be honest. I can afford to buy the Altima SER, I would have to lease the Audi A4.

I've never been a fan of leasing. Plus if you wanted to mod the audi you could potential run into problems with the warranty and if you move around alot like I do a lease may be more trouble than its worth. Nissans are definitely nice cars. I think the first thing to ask yourself is what do you expect to get out of the car, then go from there. But if the Audi's gonna break your pocket book I would probably go with the nissan. I will admit I like Audis better, just a different level than some of the Asian cars. Audi does have a pretty nice certificaiton plan where you can get some older model Audis that are in pretty good condition. If I was in your postion I would definitely consider that. I bought a 2005.5 A4, but with a few inexpensive mods I may have been able to get the same perfomance out of a 2002 or 2003. But if you do a used Audi I would recommend a certified one, as there are a lot of modied ones out there that may be a little worn. If you do go with audi and you want to leave room for moding defintely get a 1.8 or 2.0 turbo the 4cyl turbo leaves alot more room for improvement than the V6 models (you can look at other post for more info on that and check some of the links like APR and GIAC). I'm just telling you stuff I wish I would have considered more when I was purchasing, but definitely no regrets I love the Audi.

If your buying new you may as well make a few payments and get the Maxima or 350z, the Altima isn't the greatest, you would love the A4 Quattro compared to it. It all depends on what you wanna do though.

If I go Audi how many miles should i be looking for really what would be the cut off for that. Also I still might lease the 06. Which year between 02-06 would be the best to get do you think. I can finance about 24k tops with like 2-3k down so a car with taxes in the neighborhood of 26-27k.
