Hey guys whats up ok so here is my problem i have a 99 a4 1.8t when i start it up it runs and sounds fine at idle. But when i hit the gas to go it gets up to about 2500 then just dies right back down and just about stalls out? i live in boone nc and the closest person that works on euros is 50 miles away at first i took it to this company called swedish werks and they told me that my turbo was blown!!!! what is the reaction when you have a blown turbo? my first thought was throttle body or coil pack or vaccum can you guys tell me what the reaction of ither of these would be or could you tell me what you think the problem could be?????? pls help i want my ride back.

 

also i just had the ICM replaced so i dont think it could be that again less than a 100 mile on the new one?????????????????

 

rev the engine and see wut happens. it sounds like ur losing boost. do u have a boost gauge?

 

is your engine still all stock? any codes coming up?

 

my CEL is on and when i revit up it will go to high rpms but shoots right back down dosnt really sound like im losing boost but i do hear a small shutter comming from the dv simalar to a very quiet BOV

 

maybe a clogged fuel filter? well 3 things, boost leak or not enough fuel or not enough air. couldn't tell ya exactly which part is messed up. auditech79 or cincytt mayb be able to

 

Im not even gonna try to help you until you post the fault codes. If you have a CEL post the codes, end of story.

 

if the hose on the top of the dv wasnt hooked up right would it cause this reaction?
