One of the rims on my '98 A4 is dented just enough that it causes some vibration especially at higher speeds. It is the 16" 7 spoke version. The mechanic says it's fine to drive on, but I want to replace it. What dealer/shop would folks recommend for an affordable replacement? Ebay? Any specific suppliers? Other than this, the car is great! 145K miles and going strong.

I found ebay to be the cheapest ($150), but it shouldn't be too hard to search with the "Audi Links" section in the A4 forum. All it takes is a little time.

As for specific ebay sellers, just read through the feedback. I've made over 75 purchases with no problems thanks to this wonderful system. I usually shoot for 98.5+ feedback, but individual comments (and seller responses) are more important.

 

A local import wrecking yard is the first place i'd look. 2nd is Craigslist. 3rd is local autotrader/little nickel,etc. 4th is Ebay/Internet interfaced yards (like
