if the indicator light is on solid this means a direction light is out ( indicator ) so say if one front indicator light is out them the green light in the dash stays on solid and dosnt flash, basicly you have a flasher bulb blown
no if your flasher is out it will tell you your flasher is out not just put up a indicator light my flasher was out the other day and i replaced it. it told me it was the flasher i didnt get a green light. and my blinkers were going alot faster than normal with the blown bulb in it. do you live in canada where you have daytime runing lights maybe that is the cause i dont know but it will tell you if its broken though not just some green light
Brotzvang,
YesI live in Canada, the dealer did say it MIGHT be the day time lights but I wasnt sure.... its just that its on all the time u know.... that might actually be it then you think?

Yes, green indicator light located approximately top, center of the gauge cluster above the tachometer and spedometer means your Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) are on. Completely normal for Canadian vehicles.
Thanks so much now my mind is at ease.... I was trying EVERything in my power to see how I can turn it off... now that I know its normal I feel much better... wasnt sure if there was a light burnt out or hand something worng... thanks again
Yes, U.S.A. vehicles do not have "Daytime Running Lights," (DRLs) meaning when we turn our cars on, we have zero headlights / parking lights on until we turn the headlight switch to the "On" position.
Canadian vehicles require DRLs by law, meaning your headlights are always on (i believe its the headlights), hence the grean parking light indicator will always be illuminated because your headlights are always on.
[ul][*]Completely normal for this light to be illuminated on Canadian models at all times.
[/ul][ul][*]Will not be illuminated on U.S.A. models until the headlight switch is turned to the "On" position.[/ul]Your car is fine. Enjoy it!
