Help! just got my A4
Hey everyone, so I just purchased a 2003 A4 1.8T FWD.....when I was at the dealer, they told me the car needed a jump, which it did. All was fine... then when I left the dealer with the car. I went to the gym for an hour and a half. When I left the gym the engine wouldn’t start. The engine cranked over once then i heard a clicking sound that sounded like a solenoid. A buddy came by and jumped me.... the car started ... I waited about 5 minutes then I turned the engine off and refired it up no problem... so I drove home which was an about 25 minutes drive...park.. turn the engine off take the key out... put the key back in and try to start it back up... this time no can do... it cranked once and then it was ticking...

If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it
Bad luck with cars....hopping to make the best out of it...

Its probably just a battery, when you hear the clicking its because theres not enough juice in the batt to turn the starter all the way around. It also explains why it runs good once it starts because your alternator takes over once its running. Then as the alternator tries to recharge the battery the battery doesnt hold the charge for more then an hour or so, and your stuck jumping it again.
My car was having the exact same thing happen. The battery was just getting crappy. Plus with the cold weather it really tests your battery's strength, I just replaced it with a Walmart battery and everything is fine now!
since we are talking about battery's are we able to run yellow tops in are cars? ive talk to a few different sources and its 50/50! so i was hoping you audi experts could answer that for me!
thanks again
