Jest... and every one reading this I know you will say i should search but i have looked all over for it i dont know what keywords to try next. Jestnomen had a maintance page on the A4 for different years as the car grew I am trying to find it so i will see if i got everything done on mine.

I just did all these on mine, drove over 120 miles and yet the 1n 1 code is still on.

Change engine oil
Change engine oil filter
Replace accessory drive belt
Replace timing belt
Replace timing belt tensioner pulley
Replace timing belt idle roller
Replace water pump
Replace coolant thermostat
Change engine coolant
Check electrolyte level of battery
Check brake pad and rotor thickness
Inspect engine for leaks

any other ideas what i should be doing that i have done yet?

To my knowledge the 1n1 code has to be reset using a VAG

 

that's only for the older A4s...i believe pre 98, but it may be 99...if you have a later model you can reset it without vag-com, there's a write-up on aw, it's very simple.

 

Its a 98 so were does it fall.... ?
