I think my car is fucked. My car has recently been chipped by APR.So i was trying to drift w my awd for like 20 mins. When i was driving home my car had no power. I went to the local euro car shop when they told me i needed a new turbo. Then i bought the turbo and installed it myself. After that my car was boosting good for about five seconds until it broke again. I have no idea what is wrong. please help.

 

your probably over boosting and in limp mode

what year is your car ?

if thats the case then you probably didnt need a new turbo

 

oh man it sucks to be you if you were really in limp mode.. and you replaced it with a new ko3???

from what i am seeing i would probably stay away from that shop if i were you...

but we need more info on why the turbo went bad in the first place. was it one of the wheels? or the wastegate? or what?

 

Engine, model and year please. Have you done other mods such as changing the diverter valve or the N75 controller valve?

I agree, most likely your car has gone into limp mode. Check for codes at autozone.

 

did you keep your old turbo?

if so get the car fixed and sell it

 

I have a 99.5 a4 quatro 1.8. I put in a k04 when i replaced the turbo. The old turbo still works fine so im going to sell it. All i have is an intake the chip and now a new turbo. I can check for the engine code at autozone?I really hope my car is in limp mode. Thanks for the help.
