Help....NO HEAT!!
hi there,
i had the same heat problem, my car engine temp stayed cold, never got anywhere near the middle of the temp gauge, i changed my temp sensor and thermostat, now the heat is fine.
if you want to check if your thermostat is faulty, remove the thermostat (you will find this under the engine, accessible from the underside of the car, follow the main pipe of the bottom passenger side of the radiator, where it joins the engine block is where your thermostat is).
get a bowl full of hot water, submerge the thermostat in the water making sure it is shut before submerging it. use a set of pliers to hold the thermostat in the water, when the thrmostat is fully open (should not take too long and definately a little longer than 2 seconds), remove it from the water and allow it to close using the ambient temperature around it, making sure the temp is not too hot or too cold, if the thermostat takes too long to close, you have a faulty thermostat. i.e the coolant kept flowing through your engine not allowing the engine to heat up because the thermostat is not closing.
i hope this helps.

Hows the coolant level? I have this issue with my b6 atm, it's going back to the dealership to be repaired in the morning.
My thermostat housing seal is cracked and is leaking coolant. Do you see any leaks from your car?
i have the same exact problem. i ordered a coolant temp sensor, and i want to change the thermostat but i cant find it. i followed the lower radiator hose to the block but i can barely feel it, and there is nowhere to disconnected. i dont understand how to take it apart to access the thermostat. maybe i'm not looking at the right place. if anybody could take a pic, it would be awesome.
