Default Help with noise, new chip

So i got my car chipped today, first mod ever,

WOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooOOOWW !

God i whish i had know earlier, now all i want is more more MORE POWER!

Drove around for 4hours, washed the car twice lol.

So i am hearing this weird noise, sounds like a low rumbling from the front, first few times i thought it was soun from tires like you get on uneven pavement, ( BRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr). But then i notuced it was reproducible, always seems to happen 2700-3000 RPM in 4th and 5th gears with pedal to te metal. Is this normal? and no this is not the sweet high pitched whine of the turbo spooling. (SHIIiiiiiiiiiiii)

Specs:

2002 A4 1.8T, manual tranny, Sports package, APR "chipped" 93 Oct program, using 93 Octane of course.

Any ideas?

thanks for any input,

Pete

PS: Do i really need a new DV? Guy at the tuning shop said it was not mandatory, would rather not make any physical mods to the engine as am still under the Audi warranty, hope nobody drives my car at the shop with my next checkup heheheh.

This is one of the reasons i didnt go with APR.. Their people dont know jack ****, other than one guy over there.. Jeff or something... One of their guys actually was trying to talk me out of APR and go with GIAC.. But.. It is mandatory to change DV's.. Yours might last a week or two... Good to hear your satisfaction! As long as you dont wash your hands as much as your car, I have no reason to believe you are OCD.

that and it wont hold any boost, making the turbo work harder to push the same boost level. Get the dv I recomend the 710n from ecstuning.com .

Could be low tire presssure, real low. But considering your a 2002 I dont kmow if your wheel bearing would go bad by then. You can check them by jacking the front end up and pushing top and bottom of the wheel to see if its moves or has any play, if so the bearing could be worn.

yes its identical...the only difference in looks is the "N" after 710 in writing.

the noise is too broad to diag accuratly without seeing and driving the car sorry.
