97 a4q,, anyone that could give me a clue on how to open tht frigin cover .....i need to replace the fuel level sending unit but i cant open the cover it hella tight and no room to work in it...advices anybody? thanks!!

When I did it on a past vehicle I got a really wide/thick flat headscrewdriver, placed it on the grooves on the outside of the nut and hit (tapped)the back of the screwdriver with a hammer to get it started... Then remove it by hand...

that big black rubber...how did u get that of? spinning? cuz the white lid cant berotated i guess... ill try to get a pic ....thanks!!
